Process Of Receiving Your ESL F1 Visa

1. Get Your 1-20 Form

First, you must apply to study with an ESL school that is SEVP-approved. The school will give you your I-20 form, which is imperative in receiving your ESL F1 Visa. Here’s the good news: our ELS program is SEVP-approved! Apply to our ESL program and we’ll help you through the ESL F1 visa process (drop down for more information).

2. Pay The SEVP Fee

After you receive your I-20 form, you must pay the SEVP fee which goes to processing your information for an ESL F1 visa. You can pay at this website. Make sure to keep the receipts which you’ll need as proof at your interview.

3. Fill Out Form DS-160

The next step is to fill out the form DS-160 for a nonimmigrant visa. You must provide personal information, your plans for traveling to the United States, and more.

4. Schedule An Interview

Now that you’ve got all the paperwork done, it’s time to schedule your interview. This will take place in a United States embassy or consulate in your home country, where you will discuss your plans for travel to the United States, how you plan to support yourself financially, and why you have decided to stay in the United States. Take time to prepare adequately.

5. Wait For Approval

You’ve done all the hard work. At this point, all that’s left is to sit back and wait for approval for your ESL F1 visa. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us
